About us
About York County Gardeners
A friendly group of neighbors who garden in York County, South Carolina.
Gardeners helping gardeners
York County Gardeners started because growing food and flowers is easier when you have people to ask. We are not a company and we do not sell anything. We are neighbors who share seeds, cuttings, tools, and the occasional bag of ice at a community event. Established in 2025 • 1.8K+ members
Our corner of South Carolina has its own soil, weather, and pests. We keep our advice local and honest.
Meet Zander Aycock
Zander organizes York County Gardeners and plans our events. He began with a single tomato plant and became fascinated after indulging in his first at-home-grown tomato. He started the group with the vision to bring local community members together among a common purpose. While the world feels polarized lately, we could all use a little community.
